Our Story

Why it says
“& Sons”

Kenny & Sons Plumbing is family-owned and operated. Mark runs it. When you dial the number on this page, you are calling the man whose name is on the truck — not a dispatch centre in another province reading your address off a screen.

The “& Sons” part is about how the trade gets handed down. Plumbing isn't learned from a manual. It's learned standing beside somebody who already knows how: how a joint gets soldered so it never weeps, how a crawlspace gets left when you're finished, how you tell a customer news they don't want to hear. That is the standard the name is meant to stand for.

Being based in Pennfield matters more than it sounds. We know the wells out here and the water that comes out of them. We know the cottage plumbing that was put in decades ago and never touched since, and we know what a Bay of Fundy winter finds every year. You're also not paying for somebody's drive out from the city.

Most of our work still comes from one neighbour telling another to give us a call. That's a slow way to build a plumbing business, and a hard one to fake. It's also the reason we'd rather talk you out of a big job than into one.

See What We Do

How We Work

Four things you can count on

Nothing here is complicated. It's just how a job ought to be run.

You hear the price first

We look at the job, then give you the number. You say yes or no before any work starts. If we open something up and find a bigger problem underneath, we stop and call you — we don't keep going and explain it on the invoice.

We leave it clean

Sheets down, boots seen to, old parts hauled away with us. When we pull out of the driveway, the bathroom or the basement should look like nothing happened in it — except that the plumbing works again.

You get a straight answer

If a repair will hold, we'll repair it and say so. If it's throwing good money after bad, we'll tell you that instead. And if what you need isn't something we do, we'll point you to somebody who does.

We stand behind the job

The fix gets tested before we pack the truck, and we'll show you what was done and why. If something isn't right after we've gone, call and tell us. We'd sooner hear it from you than from the neighbours.

What You Can Expect

When we pull into
your driveway

You've likely had a tradesman let you down before. Here's what we hold ourselves to instead.

01

You Deal With the Family

First phone call to final walkthrough, you're speaking with the family that owns the business. Nothing gets handed off to a call centre.

02

Licensed & Insured

Fully licensed and carrying liability insurance. The work meets code, and your home is covered the whole time we're in it.

03

Upfront Pricing

The number comes before the wrench. You decide with the cost already in front of you, and the invoice matches what we told you.

04

Local, Not Driving In

Our shop is on McKay Loop Road in Pennfield, and we're on these roads every day. Charlotte County isn't a territory to us — it's home.

Truck or work-in-progress photo The lettered work truck in a customer's driveway, or a job on the go — copper run, water heater going in, tools laid out tidy. Wide landscape, ~2000×900.

If you've seen the truck around Pennfield, St. George or Blacks Harbour, that was us.

Mark was very professional, promptly came to replace faucet . Would highly recommend this business to my friends. Thanks for helping out in stressful situation.
